To Tell the Truth

What does it take to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? A little bit of courage and a whole lot of therapy.

If you’ve followed me on here, my blog, or social media, you already know that I have a story to tell. I explained recently Why I Write About Dave Ramsey, after publishing my third exposé of lawsuits involving Ramsey and his company and speaking more than ever before in episodes 20 and 21 of the Untangled Faith podcast.

Some have wondered, subtly or aloud to me, why don’t I just spill it all? Why dribble it out here and there, over time? I ask myself too.

The answer to that is oh so complicated. As I know it is to anyone who has suffered trauma.

And as it is with all things, I work out my thoughts in the writing. In the words. On the page. On the keys.

So here goes. How have you decided when and how to speak out?

I want my words to have impact.

We all probably have stories that are salacious or juicy, and some might say that it’s gossip to tell any story that falls into that category. I disagree. A murder can be salacious, but we don’t tell the victim’s family to never speak of it.
