BREAKING: Dave Ramsey Sued by Former Fans in Class Action Lawsuit
Marilyn Dewey is a truck driver from Washington who spent hour after hour listening to Dave Ramsey’s talk radio show on her long haul routes. Tasha Ryan is a surgical technologist in Idaho who spent her free time tending her vegetable garden, raising chickens, and listening to Dave Ramsey on the radio. She also listened to his podcasts and attended his financial program at her church. David and Rosemarie Bottonfield are now retired, but he was formerly in the Navy and she worked as a medical assistant. They were also Dave Ramsey followers, owning many of his books and listening to his radio show.
Marilyn, Tasha, David and Rosemarie also bought timeshares at one point along the way that they later regretted. This is all according to a new lawsuit filed in federal court.
“RUN! Run far, far away!” is what Dave Ramsey’s company, Ramsey Solutions, urges about timeshares, calling them “one of the biggest scams on the market.” So for years, Ramsey referred listeners of his syndicated radio shows and podcasts, including Marilyn, Tasha, David and Rosemarie, to a timeshare exit company known as Timeshare Exit Team (the legal name for Reid Hein), touting their expertise and money-back guarantee to get Ramsey fans out of their unwanted timeshares.
